Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas
You are married. It’s been a whole year. You want to give a memorable gift and you want to be traditional – it has to be paper. I’ve wondered who chooses what each anniversary represents? Do you know? Who chose paper to represent the first wedding anniversary?
Will we ever know?
Paper Wedding Aniversary Gifts
I love this quote from Wikipedia:-
“Wedding Anniversary
A wedding anniversary is the anniversary of the date on which a wedding took place.”
I know what you’re thinking and I’m thinking something similar.
My first stop for paper anniversary gifts is Historic Newspapers as they do a fabulous range of newspapers as gifts. What’s so special about newspapers? They’re full of detail and you can either get an original newspaper gift or a reproduction in a book. I love reading the adverts from years ago when smoking was compulsory and everything cost less than a shilling. Bring back memories of the fashions you were wearing the year you wed!
Other Paper Anniversary Gifts
If you just want a bit of fun go for a spoof newspaper present or an image calendar (you put in your loved ones name and it give you that name integrated into some smart images).
If you stretch the paper theme to include newspapers and sport then you can have a look at Devoted to Sport, if one of you is looks for a sporting theme, and go for a Football Newspaper book gift, for his or her favourite team. Devoted to Sport have over fifty clubs, English, Scottish, and Welsh, to choose from.
Our Favourite Paper Anniversary Gift
The Anniversary folder from the Gone Digging Anniversary Gifts section: ‘Three original newspapers (one from the wedding day and for both partners’ birthdates).’ This has to be the best and most personal paper anniversary gift around.
